Nanchang CJ-6 ‘Alien Invasion’ for sale - M-14 engined.
I’ve owned this airplane since 1997, I am simply not flying it enough; it is time to pass it on to another keeper.
Originally imported in 1992 it has original pre-moratorium operating limitations.  Has had many modifications/improvements over time.  Currently flying.

New air gauges. Prop refinished at Katto propeller.

Cessna O2 Nose wheel mod (have original if you want to revert)

Tinted canopy, Malcolm hood (some earlier picturesdon't show it), triple F-4 Phantom canopy mirrors so you ‘check your six’, or your passenger.

Cockpits redone in 2000.  Repainted and new floor tuffkote materials.
Front cockpit.  Best tall person cockpit in the US fleet.  I am 6’5” and built solid, the fit is snug and nice.  Long reach rudder pedal mod, ¾” lowered seat bucket. Malcolm hood. I haveretained all original parts if you want to reverse these mods.
Both cockpits: Kept steam gauges (low maintenance), added Garmin 430 and VOR/Localizer Head, mount for UPSAT SL-40, (SL-40 Com NOT included).  PS Engineering Intercom. Both cockpits refurbished and urethane painted and powder coated where practical, new markings throughout.  Custom aircraft rated Naugahyde cockpit side padding liners installed.  L-39 stick grips/brake levers added for greater comfort and feel – re-sculpted for comfortable grip, robust brake handle and electric trim possibility (Original sticks will be included with plane parts).  All controls (throttles, gear, etc.) repainted marked and reconditioned.  New Instantaneous rate of climb, altimeter and custom marked airspeeds, refurbished rare WWII Tissot sweep-second-hand clocks in both cockpits. Autoflug 5 point harnesses installed.
Has standard cargo bay mod (accessible from rear cockpit).
Whelen strobes. Beacon.

Included in sale: Aircraft, Strong seat-pack parachutes (2), CJ specific tools (Wilga toolkit) and Jacks with jacking fixtures. Some spares supplies and parts. Digital copy of manuals as well as manuals in hard copy form.
What does it need: Nothing, it is flying now. January 2019 annual by renowned CJ-6 mechanic -Bill Blackwell.  ADS-B Has NOT been done yet.

Condition Exterior: Always hangared, paint done in ’95 and is not faded, but has chips and dings from use and pressure washing.  Looks great and shiny (not faded due to being hangared always) but is NOT perfect, I would call it pessimistically a 7 out of 10 because the landing gear were never painted. The nose art is a fuel/oil resistant applique’ and can be removed.

Condition of Cockpits:  Redone in 2000 with a restrained warbird interior, shows a bit of wear and tear but holds up well, there is no rattle can crinkle finish in the upgrades however, Urethane paint throughout  (or powder coat),  I would give it an 8 out of 10 only due to some wear dings and a few of the steam gauges were left in original condition and a few parts that weren’t replaced.

Rear Cockpit:

This is a nice CJ-6 and has been family for years. Its pre-moratorium status offers greater experimental operation flexibiltiy and value. $125,000 USD, not seeking trades. Come take a look at this airplane, it won't be a waste of time, at 13-15 GPH, aerobatic, powerful and reasonably fast. This one is based at FFZ (Falcon Field) in Mesa, Arizona. With over 200 of them flying in the US and 3000 worldwide, parts and support are excellent. the bang over buck ratio is fantastic. This aircraft will receive alot of attention wherever you go.

6/1/2019 Note , these pics are dated but basically reflect the aircraft, a malcom hood canopy has been added to the front cockpit. I will add more recent ones soon.
